If Jesus is Lord of His church, His instructions for it still matter.

The New Testament Pattern: God's Blueprint for Christians and Their Churches is a 209-page book by Chad Sychtysz.

How This Book Helps

Many churches call Jesus "Lord" and claim the Bible as their authority while teaching things it doesn't say. Too much of what passes for Christianity is built to satisfy people rather than to honor what God revealed.

Sychtysz argues that honoring Christ as head of His church means obeying His instructions, and that the remedy for religious error is simple: return to the New Testament pattern for how Christians are made, how they live, and how they work together as a church. Understanding that pattern doesn't take a seminary degree, only an open Bible, an open heart, and a willingness to read God's word in context.
