The Thrill of Hope: A Look at the Book of Revelation by Bruce Green (Softcover)
Revelation is a book about hope. You can understand it, and not just survive it.
The Thrill of Hope: A Look at the Book of Revelation by Bruce Green is a grounded, readable study of one of Scripture's most misunderstood books. This is the softcover edition.
How This Book Helps
Most people who try to read Revelation give up somewhere around chapter four. Dragons, beasts, seals, and numbers don't map onto ordinary life, and sensational end-times teaching only adds to the confusion.
Bruce Green makes Revelation approachable without dumbing it down. There's no end-times speculation or timeline charts. He walks through the book's major themes in short, reflective sections, each followed by questions and answers on the hard issues: unfulfilled prophecy, what "coming" means, and whether the book is relevant today. The title comes from "O Holy Night," because Revelation is a book about hope, the weight-bearing kind that kept first-century believers faithful under pressure.
