Searching God's Word: Teaching Kids How to Navigate Through Their Bible
Many children can't look up a verse. They can learn, and it opens the whole Bible to them.
Searching God's Word: Teaching Kids How to Navigate Through Their Bible is a full-color workbook by Pat Reeder.
How This Workbook Helps
In more than 40 years of teaching children's Bible classes, Pat Reeder found that many children simply don't know how to find a passage. Without that skill, the Bible stays a closed book to them.
This workbook, written for beginning readers from 1st grade up, teaches the divisions of the Bible and how to find books, chapters, and verses. Children also learn to use cross references, a Bible dictionary, and a concordance to find a story or a word. Pat recommends that each child have their own Bible as they work through it.
