Unity in the church exists when we, through many, function as one body of people (Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12). We don't divide and conquer. We know that if we improperly divide, we are conquered. TOGETHERNESS in the church exists when we think and feel the way Jesus thought and felt (Philippians 1:27; 2:2). It's like our national motto -- E pluribus unum -- "out of many, one" on a higher spiritual plane. FELLOWSHIP in the church exists when we accept one another because God accepts us (1 John 1:3, 7). We are in fellowship because we share a relationship, AND to emphasize the point, we have entitled our study of unity, togetherness, and fellowship as JESUS: Prince of Peace Not Pieces.
