I Hurt. Why Should I Trust God?

Cancer, money trouble, a struggling marriage, the loss of a job or a spouse. When life hurts, it's hard to know where to turn. This tract points a hurting person to the God who wants to carry their burden.

I Hurt. Why Should I Trust God? is a tract by Matthew Allen for people walking through pain. It offers honest, biblical help for conquering emotional burdens and an invitation to trust God with them.

Why Hand Out This Tract

Pain can push people toward God or away from Him. This tract acknowledges that suffering is real and comes from living in a fallen world, warns against hiding, running, numbing, or dwelling on hurt, and then shows why God can be trusted. It ends with Jesus' invitation to the weary in Matthew 11:28-30.

What It Covers

• God wants to rescue you: why pain comes and that God is present and cares (Romans 8:20-22)
• What not to do: hiding hurt, running from it, numbing it, or dwelling on it
• Why you can trust God: you're not alone, He meets your needs, and He fills your heart with hope, love, and joy
• An invitation: Matthew 11:28-30 and Isaiah 43:1-3

Ways to Use It

Include it in sympathy cards, hospital visits, and benevolence work. Keep it in your tract rack for anyone carrying a heavy load, and share it with a friend going through a hard season.
