Behind the Preacher's Door

There's no myth more widely held than the idea that preachers are somehow insulated from temptation. If anything, they face more of it.

Behind the Preacher's Door, edited by Warren Berkley, is a call to personal purity for preachers and for every Christian.

How This Book Helps

A preacher's message depends on his character. Yet preachers are often left to fight private battles alone, with pornography, finances, loneliness, and strain in their marriages, while everyone assumes they're fine.

This book faces those realities squarely and candidly. Ten experienced preachers offer warning and wise counsel on personal devotion, daily discipline, ethics, pornography, the temptation to adultery, finances, relationships with other preachers, unity in the church, technology's impact on the work, and the preacher as a husband.
