The Minor Prophets: Mighty Messengers of God Volume 1: Obadiah-Hosea

The Minor Prophets are some of the least-read books in the Bible. Once you understand the world these men lived in, their messages come alive, and they speak to our day with surprising force.

The Minor Prophets: Mighty Messengers of God, Volume 1 is a 13-lesson Bible study workbook by Matthew Allen covering Obadiah, Joel, Jonah, Amos, and Hosea.

How This Study Helps

Many Christians skip the Minor Prophets because they seem obscure. The names are unfamiliar, the history is hazy, and it's hard to tell who's being warned or why. Without that background, these books read like a string of judgments with no story behind them.

This study supplies the story. Allen lays out the political, economic, and social conditions each prophet faced, so you can feel the urgency and passion behind his message. Each chapter paints a picture of life in those days, and the prophets' words begin to land with fresh clarity and relevance for God's people now.
