That Faithful and Wise Steward by Randy Collins
Everything you hold, you're holding for someone else. The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.
That Faithful and Wise Steward is a 13-lesson Bible study by Randy Collins, who spent more than four decades in accounting and finance before writing on what Scripture says about money, time, and ability.
How This Study Helps
Most of us have heard an occasional sermon on giving and filed it away as stewardship. Meanwhile the paycheck, the calendar, the credit card statement, and abilities we've never used all go on as though they belonged to us.
This study starts with the Psalmist's claim that the earth is the Lord's and follows it into ordinary life. It covers ownership and identity, the Old Testament tithe and what replaced it, the parables of the talents and the shrewd steward, the love of money, contentment, saving and debt, the use of time, hidden potential, care of creation, and the day the master comes home to settle accounts. "There is no room in our Christian life for a live-as-you-please attitude," Collins writes, and the lessons show why.

Format & Features
Every lesson closes with thought questions and ruled space to write. Scripture is quoted from the New King James Version, and Greek terms such as oikonomos are explained where they matter. Reference schedules in the back cover the seven deadly sins, how to get your free annual credit report, and how long trash lingers in a landfill, followed by a 28-topic index of stewardship Scriptures and full footnotes. The 89-page, 6 x 9 spiral binding lies flat for writing. It's also available as a PDF eBook for individual or class use.
