Family Bible Study Series: Quarter 07 - The Divided Kingdom
Kings, prophets, captivity, and return. The rest of the Old Testament, finally in order.
Family Bible Study Series, Quarter 7: The Divided Kingdom is a 13-lesson, 36-page workbook by Ken Weliever, part of a four-year curriculum in which the whole congregation studies the same topic each week.
How This Quarter Helps
The divided kingdom is where the Old Testament gets hardest to follow: two kingdoms, dozens of kings, and seventeen prophetic books that fit somewhere in the timeline.
This final Old Testament quarter covers the division of Israel, the captivity, and the restoration, placing the major and minor prophets in their historical setting and giving attention to the prophecies of Christ's coming.

Is there a teacher manual?
Yes. The teacher manual is a PDF download, available as an option on this page. It includes teaching suggestions and objectives for the quarter.
How do younger classes use it?
Teachers adapt each lesson to their age group and make their own worksheets and visuals. The Curriculum Guide covers the characteristics of each age group.
About the Family Bible Study Series
The Family Bible Study Series is a four-year, sixteen-quarter Bible class curriculum. Every class in the congregation, from age two through adults, studies the same topic each week, so parents can reinforce the lesson at home in a short daily family devotion (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Teachers cover each lesson from Wednesday through Sunday and adapt the material to their age group, and many preachers preview the coming week's topic in the Sunday evening sermon. The Curriculum Guide explains the program and gives teaching help for every age.
