Family Bible Study Series: Quarter 12 - The Acts of the Apostles
If the Bible is a wheel, Acts is the hub.
Family Bible Study Series, Quarter 12: The Acts of the Apostles is a 13-lesson, 42-page workbook by Ken Weliever, part of a four-year curriculum in which the whole congregation studies the same topic each week.
How This Quarter Helps
Acts connects the Gospels to the epistles. Without it, students can't see how the church began, how people were converted, or how the gospel spread.
This quarter studies the establishment of the church, its growth and development, and the work of Peter and Paul in preaching Christ, from the waiting apostles in Acts 1 to Paul in Rome.

Common Questions
Do we have to start with Quarter 1?
No. Each quarter stands on its own, so a congregation can begin anywhere. It's quarter 12 of 16. It follows Quarter 11: In His Steps, Part 2 and leads into Quarter 13: Themes from the Epistles, Part 1.
Is there a teacher manual?
Yes. The teacher manual is a PDF download, available as an option on this page. It includes teaching suggestions and objectives for the quarter.
How do younger classes use it?
Teachers adapt each lesson to their age group and make their own worksheets and visuals. The Curriculum Guide covers the characteristics of each age group.
About the Family Bible Study Series
The Family Bible Study Series is a four-year, sixteen-quarter Bible class curriculum. Every class in the congregation, from age two through adults, studies the same topic each week, so parents can reinforce the lesson at home in a short daily family devotion (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Teachers cover each lesson from Wednesday through Sunday and adapt the material to their age group, and many preachers preview the coming week's topic in the Sunday evening sermon. The Curriculum Guide explains the program and gives teaching help for every age.
