Ezekiel is the book most Bible readers start and don't finish. This study takes you all the way through, temple vision and all.

A Study of Ezekiel is a 136-page workbook by Chad Sychtysz covering the whole book in twenty-three lessons.

How This Study Helps

The imagery comes thick, the oracles run long, and somewhere around the temple measurements most readers set Ezekiel down. Many Christians have also been handed it as an end-times code book. That's a loss, because the prophet had a message this generation badly needs.

Sychtysz sets the scene: a deported priest preaching to fellow captives by the Euphrates that the city they missed was about to fall. When word of its fall arrived, the message turned to hope: dry bones standing up, one shepherd over a reunited flock, water flowing from the temple. For chapters 40-48 he lays out the four ways interpreters have handled them, explains why he reads them as a vision of Christ's church under Christ the Prince, and holds that reading consistently.

What's Inside

Twenty-three lessons in three sections:

  • Ezekiel's commission (chapters 1-3)
  • Prophecies against Judah and the surrounding nations (chapters 4-32), including the departure of God's glory
  • Future reunification and restoration (chapters 33-48), including the valley of dry bones, Gog and Magog, and the temple vision

Format & Features

A 6 x 9 paperback. A full introduction covers who Ezekiel was, when he prophesied, and how apocalyptic language works. Every lesson closes with discussion questions and room to write. More than a hundred endnotes carry the supporting detail, a diagram explains the land allocation in the final chapters, and Scripture quotations are from the NASB (1995). It is also available as a PDF eBook, with an individual-use version and a class-use license for churches.

Who It's For

Adult Bible class teachers looking for a quarter or two of solid Old Testament material, preachers working through the major prophets, and any Christian who wants to understand Ezekiel without being handed a millennial timeline along with it.

Common Questions

Can I use it to teach a class?
Yes. Its 23 lessons fill about two quarters of weekly classes. Order a workbook for each student, or buy the class-use PDF license to print copies for your class.

How does it handle chapters 40-48?
It explains the four main interpretations, then reads the temple vision as an apocalyptic picture of Christ's church under Christ the Prince, applied consistently from start to finish.

What are the eBook options?
The individual-use PDF is for one reader. The class-use PDF license lets a church print or share copies for a whole class.
