Eden, orphaned and sent to live with her uncle and cousins, feels blessed to be taken in by family she really doesn’t know. She longs to be accepted and loved. She settles in and enjoys the companionship of her cousin, Aleida, and their many adventures in the meadows on her uncle’s estate, but his warning to never go beyond the woods echoes in Eden’s mind as to why.
One day while strolling through the meadow picking flowers, when her uncle and cousins were away, arms reach out from the woods and grab Eden. No one is around to hear her scream or come to her rescue.
What will become of Eden? Will she ever be reunited with her family?
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Heather grew up in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She lived in Chile for 5 years where she met and married her husband. They make their abode in Dallas, Oregon with their 4-year-old daughter. Heather was a preacher’s kid and is currently a preacher’s wife. As for storytelling, she has always been imaginative and derives much pleasure from putting her ideas on paper. She speaks fluent Spanish and some Chinese.
