Rick Brown was born in Akron, OH, but he has lived in Arlington, TX since 1967. Rick retired from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department after a twenty-eight-year career. He worked as a firefighter and paramedic at the fire station for twenty years. He then worked in Geographic Information Systems and Technology Support for the next eight years.
Rick became a Christian at a very young age. He has two adult children, of whom he is extremely proud. Both became Christians at a young age as well. His son proudly serves our country. His daughter is an excellent wife and mother of three. Both of Rick’s parents passed away several years ago and were faithful Christians. He credits them with teaching him to love the Lord and to feel extremely grateful for his many blessings.
Currently, Rick is part of the Central Mansfield church of Christ, a small family of believers that love the Lord and each another. Rick has enjoyed conducting devotionals with young people and being involved in FC Texas Camp in the past but has been blessed with increased opportunities over the last several years to preach and teach. While Rick does not consider himself musically gifted, he has also been able to practice his song leading skills in recent years.
Rick looks forward to spending time in future years enjoying his children, grandchildren, and some dear friends and serving the Lord and the church.
