What Are You Looking For in a Church?

Choosing a church home is one of the most important decisions you'll make, and the religious world is confusing. This tract helps a reader choose wisely, with Scripture as the guide.

What Are You Looking for in a Church? is a tract by Matthew Allen for people deciding where to worship. It shows what to look for in a church that seeks a biblical identity.

Why Hand Out This Tract

With so many churches competing for attention and changing their beliefs to draw crowds, people need a clear standard. This tract urges readers to look for a church committed to teaching just what the Bible says, one that understands its mission to seek and save the lost and teaches God's plan of salvation, and one that shares the warmth of a family. It ends with an invitation to get to know the church of Christ.

What It Covers

• Biblical teaching: a church with a biblical identity (Colossians 3:17)
• A clear mission: seeking and saving the lost (Luke 19:10)
• The plan of salvation: grace, belief, repentance, and baptism (Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 22:16)
• A sense of family: love for God and neighbor (Matthew 22:37-39)

Ways to Use It

Use it in visitor packets, community mailings, and welcome tables, or hand it to a friend who's church shopping. It pairs well with Help! I'm Looking for a New Church Home.
