Once Saved Always Saved

"Once saved, always saved" is one of the most popular beliefs in the religious world. This tract asks a simple question: what does the Bible say?

Once Saved Always Saved? is a tract by Matthew Allen that examines the doctrine of eternal security in light of Scripture and shows how a Christian remains faithful.

Why Hand Out This Tract

Many believers have been taught that once saved, they can never be lost, and some conclude their conduct doesn't matter. This tract traces the idea to Calvinism, then lets the Bible speak on free will, the call to endure to the end, and the warnings that a Christian can walk away. It closes with practical teaching on how to remain saved and true security in Christ.

What It Covers

• Where the doctrine comes from: the Calvinist teaching on the perseverance of the saints
• Free will: John 7:17, Ephesians 4:30, Romans 6:13, and others
• Enduring and falling away: John 8:31, 1 Corinthians 10:12, Galatians 5:4, and Hebrews 3:6
• How to remain saved: living in your new identity and offering yourself to righteousness (Romans 6)

Ways to Use It

Give it to friends from denominational backgrounds who hold this belief, use it in classes on grace and salvation, and keep it in your tract rack for visitors with questions.
