From the later ministry to the empty tomb: the second half of the life of Christ.

Family Bible Study Series, Quarter 11: In His Steps, Part 2 is a 13-lesson, 37-page workbook by Ken Weliever, part of a four-year curriculum in which the whole congregation studies the same topic each week.

How This Quarter Helps

The last months of Jesus' life, from the Judean and Perean ministry to the cross and resurrection, are the heart of the gospel and deserve careful, ordered study.

This quarter covers the later ministry of Jesus through His death, resurrection, and ascension. Together with Part 1 it follows His life through its major periods, so that by learning more about Jesus we can follow His example.

Common Questions

Do we have to start with Quarter 1?
No. Each quarter stands on its own, so a congregation can begin anywhere. It's quarter 11 of 16. It follows Quarter 10: In His Steps, Part 1 and leads into Quarter 12: The Acts of the Apostles.

Is there a teacher manual?
Yes. The teacher manual is a PDF download, available as an option on this page. It includes teaching suggestions and objectives for the quarter.

How do younger classes use it?
Teachers adapt each lesson to their age group and make their own worksheets and visuals. The Curriculum Guide covers the characteristics of each age group.

About the Family Bible Study Series

The Family Bible Study Series is a four-year, sixteen-quarter Bible class curriculum. Every class in the congregation, from age two through adults, studies the same topic each week, so parents can reinforce the lesson at home in a short daily family devotion (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Teachers cover each lesson from Wednesday through Sunday and adapt the material to their age group, and many preachers preview the coming week's topic in the Sunday evening sermon. The Curriculum Guide explains the program and gives teaching help for every age.
