The Messiah's Misfits: Studying the Character of the Apostles
This is a study of what Jesus can do with misfits, then and now, when one simply has the heart that the Lord is looking for, by Bryan Nash.
Nearly 2,000 years ago the prophesied Messiah, the Son of God, began to fulfill not only prophecy, but His purpose, He took 12 men under his wing and prepared them to continue His mission. Most of us would have probably chosen the best that society had to offer for this task. So who did Jesus choose? Twelve misfits. They could not have been more different. He chose uneducated fishermen, a hated tax-collector, a political fanatic, and a couple of power hungry brothers to name a few. Not exactly the best that society had to offer.
