What About Abortion?
What does the Bible say about abortion?
You may be surprised to find out that the answer is, “nothing.” Although many might take this as license and argue that God doesn’t care, a closer reading of the Scriptures will give us just the opposite view.
The Bible says nothing about “abortion”, but it does say quite a bit about life in the womb. What God does say in His word is quite revealing. In Genesis 25:21-22, Rebekah conceived and “the children struggled together within her.” What was within her womb is accurately translated by the word “children.” In 2 Kings 19:3, King Hezekiah spoke of “…children who have come to birth, and there is no strength to deliver.” Again, what is in the womb, before being born, is referred to as children. That which so many have been willing to kill brutally in partial birth abortions is labeled by God as “children!”
In this tract, Carl McMurray answer the question about abortion.
